Octave

Based on classic monophonic octaver units.

Layout made simple. One knob for sub-octave level, a toggle to switch between sub-octave and analog octave up, a bicolor led indicator; red for sub-octave green for octave up.

I'd say both digital/dsp and analog octaver are as nice with their own pro and cons. Having used the red pedal on above picture more or less a year, what i like from dsp is their flexibility. You can put them anywhere you want; in front or after dirt, or fx loop.
Although in front of dirt is not their best as it gets muddy adds with xylophone-like sound trailing on each pick attack which is kinda annoying for solo. The octave up blended with sub(s) is nice for organ-like sounds, however it's no good if you try to get your fuzz sounds like octavefuzz using the octave up knob maxed--not in convincing way atleast.
This dsp octaver opted a battery clip on back panel, but that's useless--it'll get drained right away because this unit is consist not only an octaver circuitry, but also all other circuit to communicate with pc, storing algorithm for presets or whatever that's why it's high on power consumption. I find that quite fascinating, the complexity, but not everyone needs that feature.
Analog octave is just simple reliable device, I think that's why pro guys keeps coming back to units like boss oc 2 and etc. It meant to be placed in front of dirt and it performs better than dsp one I use, despite some warble on low notes.
