Pedal Build

Pedal build number one. This is loosely a clone of the deep blue delay. Character-wise it leans toward analog delay side rather than digital although the main IC itself is somewhat digital and it has internal memory to sample sounds to repeat.
Pretty much satisfying build. Sound-wise, its best when connects through effects loop--it's not noisy/hissy at all (at least on fully charged batteries). It doesn't produce murky repeats in higher gain setting, can provide reverb-like effect. My standard setting for layering solo blend at 9 o'clock for start, adjust feedback from 8 to 10 o'clock delay on 2 o'clock.
And for a nice reverb-y sound set feedback at noon, delay time from 8 to 11 o'clock to adjust the 'size of the room' adjust blend for the 'opacity' of the reverb.
And also other cool stuff we can squeeze out of delay pedal like faux harmony on legato stuff, coloring high note bends, overtones, self-oscillation, etc.

1. To speed up process i got myself pcb from local maker instead of build from scratch using perfboard (although i think with perf can fit into 1590b easily with battery), then shop around for parts. Populated the board in no time--with pt2399 ic less complex circuit can be done and that means the lesser components to fail.

2. First run was smooth. With potentiometers soldered to back of pcb like this is quite challenge for me because it require some precision drilling into enclosure.

3. Step drill bit is a must have when working with enclosures (and the drill, of course) standard bits that came with the drill I use are pretty much useless for this job. I bought 3mm-12mm on cheap it covers all from pilot hole to 3pdt switch hole. Cosmetic-wise I like it's raw look i probably just swap the knobs.
